What are the different types of indicators you can create?

When creating an indicator, the first step is choosing a data source. This determines the information used to calculate your indicator scores. Here are the different available data sources:

  • Dataset This source creates an indicator from field values within an imported dataset on the platform.
  • Form This source uses field values from a form to create an indicator based on user responses.
  • General Activities This source tracks general user interactions across the platform, such as uploaded profile pictures, installed mobile apps, shared posts...
  • Existing Indicators and Formulas This source creates a new indicator using one or more existing indicators within a custom formula.
  • Challenge Results This source creates indicators from challenge results, such as points earned, levels reached, or number of winners.
  • Program Activity This source uses program statistics to measure user participation and progress.
  • Quiz Activity This source creates indicators from quiz statistics, such as scores, correct answers, or time spent.
  • Session Activity This source uses session statistics to track user activity within sessions.
  • Manual Update This source allows you to manually enter indicator values without automatic calculation by the platform.
  • Team Members This source creates an indicator based on the number of team members whose results are aggregated.
